How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the LEXUS Link system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for current DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

    HINT:

    For the blinking pattern, refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  and DTC CHECK/CLEAR  .

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for historic DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

  4. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

    HINT:

    Even if the malfunction that caused the DTC output during the historic DTC check is fixed, the FAST 2 blinking pattern of the current DTC will remain.

  5. CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 
    1. Clear historic DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  6. CONFIRMATION TEST 
    1. Check for current DTCs and confirm that the FAST1 blinking pattern occurs.
