Radio Receiver Power Source Circuit: Wiring Diagram

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RAD NO. 3, ACC) 
    1. Remove the RAD NO. 3 fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.
    2. Remove the ACC fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.
    3. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG : REPLACE FUSE 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RADIO ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the K54 receiver connector.
    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K54-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      K54-11 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K54-20 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
