Steering Column Control Module: Service and Repair

MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU
REPLACEMENT
1. PRECAUTION (See Restraint Systems; Service Precautions.)
2. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER LOWER
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL END
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
6. REMOVE COIN BOX ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
10. REMOVE MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU
a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and the multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU.
11. INSTALL MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU
a. Install the multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU with the 2 nuts.
b. Connect the connectors.
12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
13. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
