Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the P10 switch connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Check the voltage between terminal 4 of the wire harness side connector of the switch and the body ground.

      Standard: 10-14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH <==> RELAY) 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (REAR LH) 
    1. Remove the power window switch.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the switch connector when the switch is operated.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      Terminal No. Switch Specified Condition
      1 <==> 2, 3 <==> 4 UP Continuity
      1 <==> 2, 3 <==> 5 OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 4, 3 <==> 5 DOWN Continuity

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (REAR LH) 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH <==> MOTOR) (SWITCH <==> BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P14 motor connector.
    2. Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P10-3 <==> P14-1 Continuity
      P10-1 <==> P14-2 Continuity

    4. Check the continuity between the P10 switch connector and the body ground.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P10-1 <==> Body ground No continuity
      P10-3 <==> Body ground No continuity

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH (REAR LH) 
    1. Remove the motor (See OVERHAUL ).
    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor rotates smoothly.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL MOTOR GEAR ROTATION TABLE

      Terminal No. Motor Gear Rotation
      Battery positive voltage --> 2
      Battery negative voltage --> 1
      Clockwise
      Battery positive voltage --> 1
      Battery negative voltage --> 2
      Counterclockwise

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH (REAR LH) 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH <==> SWITCH)
