Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (MEMORY SEAT ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the front power seat switch connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P28-7 (P) - Body ground Ignition switch is in ON position and shift position is in P position 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step   2 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

  2. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Inspect the park/neutral position switch ASSY (1GR-FE: See DTC P0705 TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (PRNDL INPUT) , 2UZ-FE: See DTC P0705 TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (PRNDL INPUT) ).

    NG: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY - MEMORY SEAT ECU)
