Inspection Procedure

- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY
- Remove the master switch.
- Check the continuity between the terminals of the switch connector when the AUTO switch is operated.
Standard:
TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLETerminals No. AUTO Switch Specified Condition 7 <==> 4, 9 <==> 1 UP Continuity 4 <==> 9 <==> 1 OFF Continuity 7 <==> 9, 4 <==> 1 DOWN Continuity
NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH <==> MOTOR) (MASTER SWITCH <==> BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the D17 switch connector.
- Disconnect the P12 motor connector.
- Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLETerminal No. Specified Condition D17-9 <==> P12-1 Continuity D17-4 <==> P12-2 Continuity - Check the continuity between the D17 switch connector and the body ground.
Standard:

Check operation of the power window motor (driver side).
- Remove the motor (See OVERHAUL ).
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminal except terminals 1 and 2.
Standard:
TERMINAL MOTOR GEAR ROTATION TABLETerminal No. Motor Gear Rotation Battery positive voltage --> 2
Battery negative voltage --> 1Clockwise Battery positive voltage --> 1
