Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When the distance control ECU and/or ECM are replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (See INSTALLATION
).
- INSPECT WIPER SYSTEM
Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .
OK: Wiper function is normal.
NG: GO TO WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM (W/O RAIN SENSOR)
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Disconnect the A8 and E11 connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition A8-2 (WIP2) - E11-3(+2) Always Below 1 Ω E11-3 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
