Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point CALIBRATION .

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

A: Go to Next Step

CHECK VSC WARNING LIGHT

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Start the engine.

Select "VSC WARN LAMP" in the Active Test and operate the VSC warning (multi information display) using the intelligent tester.

Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the VSC warning (multi information display) are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.
OK:

The VSC warning (multi information display) turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.

HINT:

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

NG: Go to Next Step

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Perform Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
  OK:
  
  The VSC warning (multi information display) turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
  
  HINT:
  
  If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
