Combination Meter: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (See AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the steering column cover lower.

    4. Disengage the claw and remove the steering column cover upper.

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the 2 clips.
    3. Disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Disconnect the 2 connectors as shown in the illustration.

    3. Remove the combination meter assembly as shown in the illustration.
