Inspection Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTCS
- Delete the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Check for DTC B2289 (Key collection waiting time over) and B2785 (Communication malfunction between ECUs connected by LIN).

- If DTC B2785 is output, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first (See DTC B2785 COMMUNICATION MALFUNCTION BETWEEN ECUS CONNECTED BY LIN ).

C: CHECK INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
A: Go to Next Step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAIN BODY ECU - CERTIFICATION ECU)
- Disconnect the E13 and DR ECU connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK MAIN BODY ECU DEFECTIVE
- After replacing the main body ECU with a normally functioning ECU, check that the engine starts.
OK: Engine can start normally.
HINT:
If the engine does not start, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE of the smart access system with push-button start (door lock function) (matching for the inside of the cabin cannot be performed) (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG: GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (ENTRY)
OK: END (MAIN BODY ECU DEFECTIVE)
- After replacing the main body ECU with a normally functioning ECU, check that the engine starts.
