Inspection Procedure
- CHECK IF PROPER DISC IN INSERTED
- Make sure that the disc is a normal audio disc, and that it is not deformed, flawed, burred or otherwise defective.
OK:
Normal audio disc.
HINT:
For details on playable disc, refer to the Owner's Manual.
NG: DISC IS FAULTY
OK: Go to next step
- Make sure that the disc is a normal audio disc, and that it is not deformed, flawed, burred or otherwise defective.
- CHECK THAT DISC IS INSERTED PROPERLY
- Check whether or not the disc is inserted upside down.
OK:
Disc is properly inserted.
NG: INSERT DISC PROPERLY
OK Go to next step
- Check whether or not the disc is inserted upside down.
- CLEAN DISC
- Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.
OK: DISC WAS DIRTY
NG: Go to next step
- Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth.
- REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK
- Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NG: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK: DISC IS FAULTY
- Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
