Inspection Procedure

1. Make sure that the disc is a normal audio disc, and that it is not deformed, flawed, burred or otherwise defective.

   OK: 

   Normal audio disc. 

   HINT:

   For details on playable disc, refer to the Owner's Manual.

NG: DISC IS FAULTY 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Check whether or not the disc is inserted upside down.

   OK: 

   Disc is properly inserted. 

NG: INSERT DISC PROPERLY 

OK Go to next step 

1. Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth.

   OK: 

   Malfunction disappears. 

   NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

OK: DISC WAS DIRTY 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.

   OK: 

   Malfunction disappears. 

NG: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

OK: DISC IS FAULTY
