Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition K16-13 (TC) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTester Connection Specified Condition K16-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG: Go to step 4
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM TO DLC3)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTester Connection Specified Condition K16-13 (TC) - A7-3 (TC) Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

RESULT CHARTDisplay (DTC Output) Proceed To DTC is not output A DTC is output B (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ) HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the problem symptoms table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE
A: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM TO DLC3)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 TO BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTester Connection Specified Condition K16-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK ECM (DLC3 TC INPUT)
- Using the SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Check that MIL is blinking.
Result
RESULT CHARTCondition Proceed To MIL is blinking A MIL is not blinking B
B: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ECM TC CIRCUIT)
A: Go to next step
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
