Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the ABS and TRACTION actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (see
CALIBRATION ).
- INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
Result

A: Go to next step
- INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
Result

A: Go to next step
- INSPECT VSC WARNING LIGHT
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the "VSC WARN LAMP" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the VSC warning light by the intelligent tester.

ACTIVE TEST: ABS/VSC REFERENCE CHARTItem (Display) Vehicle Condition / Test Details Diagnostic Note VSC WARN LAMP Turn VSC warning light ON / OFF Observe combination meter - Check that the VSC warning light are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.
OK:
The VSC warning light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the problem symptoms table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG: Go to step 4
OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Check the combination meter assembly (see
INITIALIZATION
).
