Absorber Control Ecu: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU 
    1. Fold back the floor carpet.
    2. Detach the 2 clamps to remove the wire harness from the vehicle body.
      NOTE: Do not apply an excessive force to the wire harness.
    3. Disconnect the ECU connectors.

    4. Remove the bolt, nut and ECU.
      NOTE: Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
