Power Window Regulator Motor: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 1
      Battery negative (-) → 2      		 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1      		 Motor gear rotates clockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 1
      Battery negative (-) → 2      		 Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1      		 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.

  3. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Battery negative (-) → 2      		 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1      		 Motor gear rotates clockwise

  4. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 1
      Battery negative (-) → 2      		 Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1      		 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.
