- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see

).

- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (see
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch ON (IG).
- Select the "Slip Indicator Lamp" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the slip indicator light by the intelligent tester.
Skid control ECU:
DATA LISTItem (Display) Vehicle Condition / Test Details Diagnostic Note SLIP INDI LAMP Turn SLIP indicator light ON / OFF Observe combination meter - Check that the slip indicator light turns on or off when using the intelligent tester.
OK:
The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the "PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ", refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part.
OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (See REMOVAL )
NG: GO TO Next Step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Check the combination meter (see
INITIALIZATION
).
