Front Axle Hub: Installation
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION:
When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake fluid pressure may increase.
- TURN POWER SWITCH OFF
- Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the front axle hub and front disc brake dust cover with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 69 N*m (700 kgf*cm, 51 ft.*lbf)
- Install the front axle hub and front disc brake dust cover with the 4 bolts.
- INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSTALL FRONT DISC (See REASSEMBLY )
- CONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
- Connect the brake caliper and caliper plates to the steering knuckle with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 78 N*m (795 kgf*cm, 58 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- Do not twist the front brake hose when installing the front disc brake caliper.
- Make sure that there are no foreign objects or damage on the threads of the bolts.
- Do not overtighten the bolts because the steering knuckle is made of aluminum and may be damaged.
- Connect the brake caliper and caliper plates to the steering knuckle with the 2 bolts.
- CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR LH NOTE: Do not twist the sensor wire.
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See INSTALLATION )
