Injector Driver: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Remove the bolt and air cleaner inlet.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and cover.

  6. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER 
    1. Disconnect the 4 injector driver connectors.
      1. Move the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow to release the connector lock. Disconnect the 3 connectors with wire harness locks and the connector from the injector driver.

    2. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and injector driver.
      NOTE: Be careful not to drop or strike the injector driver.
