Inspection Mode Procedure

HINT:

Before performing the DATA LIST and ACTIVE TEST of the engine with the intelligent tester, be sure to put the system into the inspection mode using the following procedures.

1. ACTIVATING INSPECTION MODE 
   1. Not using intelligent tester
      1. Perform the following steps in 60 seconds.
         1. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
         2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the transmission in the P position.
         3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the transmission in the N position.
         4. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the transmission in the P position.
         5. Check that the "MAINTENANCE MODE" on the multi-information display is illuminated in the combination meter.
         6. Turn the power switch ON (READY).
      2. To end inspection mode, turn the power switch OFF.
   2. Using intelligent tester
      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3
      2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
      3. Turn tester ON.
      4. Enter the following menus: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / ACTIVE TEST / INSPECTION MOD1 /ON.
      5. Check that the "MAINTENANCE MODE" on the multi-information display is illuminated in the combination meter.
      6. Turn the power switch ON (READY).
      7. To end inspection mode, turn the power switch OFF.
