Register Transmitter ID (Using Techstream)

  1. Set the tire pressure of all wheels (including spare tire) to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
  2. Connect the Techstream to DLC3 (located under left side of instrument panel).
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  4. Using Techstream, select the registration mode "MAIN" (or select "2nd" when registering in 2nd).
NOTE: If this step is not completed within 300 seconds, this mode will be canceled.
NOTE: Check that the tire pressure warning select switch is set to "Main". See Figure.
  5. Enter the menu items in this order: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Utility / ID Registration.
  6. Confirmation of transmitter ID registration:
    1. Enter the menu items in this order: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
    2. Read the "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" values.
    3. Confirm that the tire pressure data of all tires is displayed on the screen.
NOTE: It may take up to about 2 or 3 minutes to update the tire pressure data. If the values are not displayed after a few minutes, perform troubleshooting according to the inspection procedure for DTCs C2121/21 to C2125/25 (MAIN mode) or C2131/31 to C2135/35 (2nd mode).
NOTE: After all IDs are registered, DTC C2126/26 (MAIN mode) or C2127/27 (2nd mode) is set in the tire pressure warning ECU and the tire pressure warning light blinks for 1 minute and then comes on. When the tire pressure warning ECU successfully receives information from all the transmitters whose IDs are stored in the ECU, DTC C2126/26 or C2127/27 is deleted and the tire pressure warning light goes off.
