Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System: Calibration
HINT:
Perform the calibration of the acceleration sensor zero point by following the procedures below after replacing the acceleration sensor assembly or stabilizer control ECU, or after clearing the ECU memory.
- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (USING SST CHECK WIRE) NOTE:
- Do not tilt, move or shake the vehicle during the zero point calibration. Keep it stationary.
- Be sure to perform the procedures on level ground (inclination of 1% or less).
- Clear the zero point calibration value.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Connect terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 using SST. Perform this procedure 4 times or more within 8 seconds.
SST 09843-18040
- Disconnect the SST from the terminals of the DLC3.
- Obtain the zero point calibration value.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 using SST.
SST 09843-18040
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position to enter the test mode.
- Check that the KDSS indicator light blinks in the pattern shown.
HINT:
- The KDSS indicator light blinking pattern changes when the zero point calibration starts and returns to the normal pattern when the calibration ends.
- The KDSS indicator light does not return to the normal blinking pattern when the zero point calibration cannot be completed.
- When the zero point calibration cannot be completed, check if the following conditions necessary for performing the calibration are met:
- Vehicle speed is 0 mph (0 km/h).
- The acceleration sensor assembly is normal.
- Acceleration sensor assembly power source voltage is normal.
- Disconnect the SST from the DLC3 terminals.
- Check that DTC C1779/79 is not output.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (USING INTELLIGENT TESTER) NOTE:
- Do not tilt, move or shake the vehicle during the zero point calibration. Keep it stationary.
- Be sure to perform the procedures on level ground (inclination of 1% or less).
- Clear and obtain the zero point calibration value.
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Turn the intelligent tester main switch on.
- Select the SENSOR ADJUST mode on the intelligent tester.
- Clear and obtain the zero point calibration value.
- Check that the KDSS indicator light blinks in the pattern shown below.
- Check that DTC C1779/79 .
- Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
