Shift Lever Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.3 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 connectors to the floor shift assembly.

  2. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

  3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. INSTALL OXYGEN SENSOR (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR FLOOR PANEL BRACE (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  8. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  10. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  11. INSTALL FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  12. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  13. INSTALL UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  14. INSTALL UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  15. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  16. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
  17. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION   ) 
  18. CHECK FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAKS (See  INSTALLATION  )
