DTC Check/Clear

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Prepare the intelligent tester.
    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3 at the lower part of the instrument panel.
      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the Controller Area Network Vehicle Interface Module (CAN VIM). Then connect the CAN VIM to the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3).

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester ON.
    4. Use the intelligent tester to check the DTCs and the freeze frame data, and note or print the results. (Refer to the operator's manual for operating instructions.)
    5. Confirm the details of the DTCs (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. The following procedures clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
      1. When using the intelligent tester: Operate the intelligent tester. (Refer to the operator's manual for operating instructions.)
      2. When not using the intelligent tester: Disconnect the battery terminals.
