Engine Control System (2GR-FSE) - System And Circuit Testing, On-Vehicle Inspection, Removal, Inspection And Installation: ECM: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE ECM COVER
1. Remove the 3 bolts and ECM cover.
  NOTE:
  - Remove all water on and around the ECM cover.
  - Perform the inspection Indoors to avoid rain.
  - Be sure to prevent water intrusion to the ECM (connectors and screw parts).

REMOVE ECM
1. Disconnect the ECM connectors.
  1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector holder.
  2. Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors.

2. Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
