Active Test
PERFORM ACTIVE TESTHINT: Using the intelligent tester or Techstream to perform ACTIVE TEST allows relays, VSVs, actuators and parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing ACTIVE TEST early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. DATA LIST information can be display while performing ACTIVE TEST.
a. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
b. Turn the engine switch to on (IG).
c. Turn the tester on.
1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS/OBD/MODE / (desired system) /ACTIVE TEST/
2. Techstream - Select: Body /(desired system) / Active Test / All /
d. Perform the Active Test by referring to the table given.
