Av Communication Line Check (Between Display Control Unit And NAVI Control Unit)

  1. CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
    1. Check power supply and ground circuit for NAVI control unit. Refer to POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK FOR NAVI CONTROL UNIT .

      OK or NG

      1. OK: GO TO 2.
      2. NG: Check the malfunctioning parts.
  2. CHECK HARNESS 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect NAVI control unit connector and display control unit connector.
    3. Check continuity between NAVI control unit and display control unit.
      CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

      NAVI control unit (+) Display control unit (-)
      Connector Terminal (Wire color) Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      P107 44 (G) M95 32 (G) Yes
      45 (R) 34 (R)
    4. Check continuity between NAVI control unit and ground.
    CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Repair harness or connector.
  3. CHECK AV COMMUNICATION SIGNAL 
    1. Connect NAVI control unit connector and display control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check signal between NAVI control unit harness connector P107 terminal 44 (G) and 45 (R) with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.
    1. 44 (G), 45 (R) - Ground: Refer to TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR NAVI CONTROL UNIT .

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace display control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT .
    2. NG: Replace NAVI control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF NAVI CONTROL UNIT .
