DTC Check / Clear

HINT:

Refer to the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream operator's manual for further details.

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.
    3. Enter the following menus:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD / MOBD / (desired system) / DTC INFO /
      2. Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes /
    4. Read the DTCs by following the directions on the tester's screen.
  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.
    3. Enter the following menus:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD / MOBD / (desired system) / DTC INFO /
      2. Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes /
    4. Erase the DTCs by following the directions on the tester's screen.
