How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the dynamic radar cruise control system.
- *: Use the intelligent tester or Techstream.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.
- CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)*
- Using the intelligent tester or Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.
Result
FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)Result Proceed to DTC B22B3 is not output A DTC B22B3 is output B
B: Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Using the intelligent tester or Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.
- CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Use the intelligent tester or Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
Result
COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEMResult Proceed to CAN DTC is not output A CAN DTC is output B
B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Use the intelligent tester or Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Use the intelligent tester or Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.
Result
COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEMResult Proceed to LIN DTC is not output A LIN DTC is output B
B: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Use the intelligent tester or Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
