Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Installation
- INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY
- Temporarily install the 2 clamps together with 4 new gaskets and the pipe to the fuel pump.
- Install the 2 clamp bolts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Using SST, tighten the 2 dampers.
SST 09612-24014(09617-24011)
Torque:
without SST 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)
with SST 35 N*m (357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in).
- Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.
- Connect the 3 fuel hoses.
- Connect the connector to the delivery pipe.
- Install the bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the No. 3 engine cover with the 2 clips.
- Install the bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Push in the tube connector to the pipe until the tube connector makes a "click" sound.
- Push down on the retainer to lock it in place.NOTE:
- Check that there is no damage or foreign objects on the connected part of the fuel pipe.
- After connecting, check that the fuel tube connector and the pipe are securely connected by pulling on them.
- INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Install the intake manifold (see INSTALLATION ).
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see
INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
- CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
