Model With Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) System

  1. Tighten the flange of master cylinder into a vise. Remove brake fluid from reservoir. Bend claws of stopper cap outward and remove stopper cap. With a 4-mm pin punch, drive out spring pin from cylinder body and remove reservoir. See Figure . Remove valve stopper while lightly pushing primary piston into cylinder. Remove the snap ring while pushing primary piston inward. Remove piston assemblies.
  2. If secondary piston assembly is difficult to remove, gradually apply compressed air through fluid outlet. Replace parts as necessary. Inspect inner wall of cylinder for damage, wear, corrosion, and pin holes. Replace cylinder if defective.
  3. CAUTION: DO NOT reuse primary and secondary piston assemblies.
    NOTE: DO NOT use any dropped parts.
  4. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure.
