Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance 

        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (BUCKLE SWITCH)

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        connector A-3
        -connector A-4        		 Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch is ON) Below 1 Ω
        connector A-3
        -connector A-4        		 Release the seat belt (buckle switch is OFF) 1 MΩ or higher
        connector B-2
        -connector C-1        		 Always Below 1 Ω
        connector B-4
        -connector C-2        		 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.
      1. Apply battery voltage to the front seat inner belt and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK 

        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (LED ILLUMINATES)

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → connector A-1
        Battery negative (-) → connector A-2        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Check the buckle switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance 

        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (BUCKLE SWITCH)

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Connector A-1
        -Connector A-2        		 Seat belt is fastened Below 1 Ω
        Connector A-1
        -Connector A-2        		 Seat belt is unfastened 1 MΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.
      1. Apply battery voltage to the front seat inner belt and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK 

        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (LED ILLUMINATES)

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Connector A-3
        Battery negative (-) → Connector A-4        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.
