Power Steering Ecu: Installation

  1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU 
    1. Attach the claw and install the power steering ECU with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect connector C to the power steering ECU.

    3. Connect the 2 power steering ECU connectors A and B and securely lock the connectors.
  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the inlet cover with the 2 clips.
  3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 
    1. Install the side cover with the 4 clips.
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  5. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  7. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform variable gear ratio steering system calibration (see CALIBRATION ).
