How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the air suspension system.

*: Use the Intelligent tester or Techstream.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
    1. Using the Intelligent tester or Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally. (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

      Result 

      FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B22B3 is not output A
      DTC B22B3 is output B
    2. Using the Intelligent tester, check the electric power control system's load control history (see OPERATION CHECK )

    B: Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  5. CHECK ECUS CONNECTED TO CAN BUS* 
    1. Check ECUs connected to CAN bus (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result 

      ECUS CONNECTED TO CAN BUS

      Result Proceed to
      Malfunction appears A
      No malfunction appears B

    B: Go to  CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  6. CHECK DTC (CAN AND LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)* 
    1. Check for DTCs all.

      Result 

      DTC (CAN AND LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      CAN system DTC is output B
      LIN system DTC is output C
      Air suspension DTC is output D

    B: Go to  CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    C: Go to  LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    D: GO TO DTC CHART  

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  7. PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE 

    Result 

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
    Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B: Go to step   10 

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  8. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  )
    2. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU  )
  9. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  10. CONFIRMATION 

    END
