Inspection Procedure
- CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT
- Check the parking brake switch circuit (see INSPECTION ).
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT
OK: Go to Next step
- CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT
- Check the brake fluid level warning switch circuit (see DISASSEMBLY ).
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT
OK: Go to Next step
- CHECK DTC FOR ABS
OK: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE
NG: Go to Next step
- CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
- Check the warning light other than the BRAKE warning light.
OK: Go to step 6
NG: Go to Next step
- INSPECT RELAY (Marking: IG1 NO.2)
- Remove the IG1 NO. 2 relay from the cowl side junction block LH.
- Measure the resistance of the relay.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition 1 - 2 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 2 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminal 3 and 4)
NG: REPLACE RELAY

OK: CHECK COMBINATION METER (COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT)
- INSPECT ECU CONNECTORS
- Check that each ECU connector is properly installed.
OK: Each ECU connector is properly installed.
NG: CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU CORRECTLY
OK: Go to Next step
- Check that each ECU connector is properly installed.
- CHECK WARNING LIGHT
- Check for open circuit in the combination meter circuit.
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK: Go to Next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
