Inspection Procedure

1. Check that the stop light turns on when the brake pedal is depressed and turns off when the brake pedal is released.
   STOP LIGHT CONDITION
   
   

   Condition	Stop Light Condition
   Brake pedal depressed	Turns on
   Brake pedal released	Turns off

OK: Go to step  3

NG: Go to Next step 

NG: CHECK STOP LIGHT BULB AND REPAIR OR REPLACE STOP LIGHT CIRCUIT 

OK: Go to Next step 

1. Remove the skid control ECU with the connectors still connected.
2. Measure the voltage between terminal STP of the skid control ECU and body ground when the brake pedal is depressed.

   OK: Standard voltage: 

   10 to 14 V 

OK: END

NG: Go to Next step 

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
