On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply the parking brake and turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Depress the brake pedal and check that the engine starts when the shift lever is on N or P, but does not start in other positions.
    3. Check that the back-up light illuminates and the reverse warning buzzer sounds when the shift lever is on R, but does not function in other positions.
