- CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a multiplex communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).

- Check if a multiplex communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (SKID CONTROL ECU)
- Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.
OK:
The connector is securely connected.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTION)
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.
- CHECK VSC WARNING LIGHT
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Select "VSC WARN LAMP" in the Active Test and operate the VSC warning light using the intelligent tester.
ABS /TRAC /VSC:
ACTIVE TEST - ABS/TRAC/VSCItem (Display) Vehicle Condition/Test Details Diagnostic Note VSC WARN LIGHT Turn VSC warning light ON / OFF Observe combination meter - Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the VSC warning light are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.
OK:
The VSC warning light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
NG: Go to Next Step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Perform Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester (See DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST
).
OK:
The VSC warning light blinks or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
