Fuel Pump: Reassembly

  1. INSTALL FUEL NO. 1 SUCTION SUPPORT

    1. Install the fuel No. 1 suction support to the fuel filter.
  2. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to 2 new O-rings, then install them onto the fuel pressure regulator.

    2. Install the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel filter.

  3. INSTALL FUEL PUMP 
    1. Apply gasoline to a new O-ring and install it to the fuel filter.

    2. Engage the 5 claws on the fuel filter and install the fuel pump with the pump filter.

  4. CONNECT FUEL PUMP HARNESS 
    1. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

  5. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the fuel pump filter tube while aligning it to the installation position of the fuel No. 1 sub-tank.

    2. Connect the jet pump nozzle.
    3. Make sure that the fuel tube passes under the protrusion of the fuel filter, and engage the claw of the fuel No. 1 suction support.
    4. Install the spring to the fuel suction plate shaft and install it to the fuel No. 1 sub-tank.

    5. Install a new E-ring.

  6. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the fuel sender gauge to fit the claw.
    2. Connect the fuel sender gauge connector.
