Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Inspection

- INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Check the resistance.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Standard resistance

NOTE: If checking the engine coolant temperature sensor in water, be careful not to allow water to enter the terminals. After checking, wipe the water off the engine coolant temperature sensor.If the result is not as specified, replace the engine coolant temperature sensor.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
- Check the resistance.
