Skid Control Sensor: Installation

INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR
1. Wipe the sealant off the skid control sensor installation surface using white gasoline.
  NOTE: Keep the sensor rotor free of foreign matter.
2. Install the skid control sensor onto the rear axle hub in the highest possible installation position.
  HINT:
  
  The distance between the installation holes should be larger on the upper side than the lower side.

3. Using SST and a press, install a new skid control sensor into the rear axle hub until it is flush with the end.
  SST 09214-76011
  NOTE:
  - Do not use a hammer when installing.
  - Check for any foreign matter on the sensor probe.
  - Press the skid control sensor in slowly without turning it.

INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY
ADJUST REAR DRUM BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
CHECK ABS SENSOR SIGNAL
