On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. CHECK INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE OPERATION 
    1. Start the engine.
    2. While the engine is idling, check that the actuator rod moves.

    3. Disconnect the VSV connector (for ACIS), and check that the actuator rod is returned.

      If the operation is not as specified, inspect the intake air control valve, VSV (for ACIS) and ECM.
