Throttle Body: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor and control connector.
    2. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts, nut, throttle body and gasket.
