Shift Lever: Reassembly

INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING LOWER
1. Install the position indicator housing lower to the shift lock control unit.

HINT:

Engage the claws securely.
INSTALL INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the indicator light wire sub-assembly to the shift lever assembly.
INSTALL SHIFT LEVER WIRE GUIDE
1. Install a new shift lever wire guide No.1 to the shift lever assembly.
2. Install the shift lever wire guide No.1 to the indicator light wire. Cut off the shift lever wire guide No.1 as shown in the illustration.

INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER NO.2
1. Install the position indicator slide cover No.2 to the position indicator slide cover.
NOTE: Be sure to install the position indicator slide cover No.2 in the correct direction.

INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER
1. Install the position indicator slide cover to the position indicator housing lower.
NOTE: Be sure to install the position indicator slide cover with the mark facing to the front of the vehicle.

INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE
1. Install the position indicator light guide to the position indicator housing lower.
  HINT:
  
  Engage the claws securely.

INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON
1. Apply MP grease to the shift lock release button and spring.
2. Install the shift lock release button, spring and cover.
INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER
1. Install the shift lock release button cover to the position indicator housing.
INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING
1. Install the position indicator housing to the shift lever assembly.
  HINT:
  
  Engage the claws securely.
