Section 931 (Engine Control System - System And Component Testing): ECM: Installation

  1. INSTALL ECM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the ECM with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 5 ECM connectors.
      NOTE: Be sure to securely connect the connectors.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 FINISH PANEL LOWER 
    1. Install the No. 2 finish panel lower with the 3 screws.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE BOX COMPARTMENT DOOR 
    1. Install the glove compartment door with the 2 screws.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).

    NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
