Road Test

  1. INSPECT "SET" FUNCTION 
    1. Push the ON-OFF button ON.
    2. Drive at the required speed between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
    3. Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET.
    4. After releasing the lever, check that the vehicle cruises at the set speed.

  2. INSPECT ACCELERATION FUNCTION 
    1. Push the ON-OFF button ON.
    2. Drive at the required speed between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
    3. Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET.
    4. Check that vehicle speed increases while the cruise control main switch is set to +/RES.
    5. Check that the vehicle cruises at the newly set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.
    6. Momentarily (approximately 0.6 seconds) tap up the cruise control main switch to +/RES and then release it. Check that vehicle speed increases approximately 1.6 km/h (1 mph) with each cruise control main switch operation (tap-up control).

  3. INSPECT COAST FUNCTION 
    1. Push the ON-OFF button ON.
    2. Drive at the required speed between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
    3. Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET.
    4. Check that vehicle speed decreases while the cruise control main switch is set to -/SET.
    5. Check that the vehicle cruises at the newly set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.
    6. Momentarily (approximately 0.6 seconds) push the cruise control main switch to -/SET and then release it. Check that vehicle speed decreases approximately 1.6 km/h (1 mph) with each cruise control main switch operation (tap-down control).

      HINT:

      The cruise control system automatically cancels when the vehicle speed decreases below 40 km/h (25 mph).

  4. INSPECT CANCEL FUNCTION 
    1. Push the ON-OFF button ON.
    2. Drive at the required speed between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
    3. Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET.
    4. Check that the cruise control system is canceled when performing one of the following.
      • Depressing the brake pedal
      • Shifting into any position other than D, or during sequential shift mode; the shift lever is moved from S (4) to "- "(3, 2, 1).
      • Pushing the ON-OFF button OFF
      • Pulling the cruise control main switch to CANCEL

  5. INSPECT RESUME FUNCTION 
    1. Push the ON-OFF button ON.
    2. Drive at the required speed between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
    3. Push the cruise control main switch to -/SET.
    4. Check that the cruise control system is canceled when performing one of the following.
      • Depressing the brake pedal
      • Shifting into any position other than D, or during sequential shift mode; the shift lever is moved from S (4) to "-" (3, 2, 1).
      • Pulling the cruise control main switch to CANCEL
    5. Set the cruise control main switch to +/RES, and check that the vehicle resumes the previously set speed.

      HINT:

      RESUME function does not resume the set speed when the vehicle speed decreases below 40 km/h (25 mph).
