Wireless Door Lock Control System: Registration

HINT:

Select the operation mode from the following:

Add mode is used to register new recognition codes while still retaining codes already registered. This mode is used when a new transmitter is added. If the number of registered codes exceeds 4, the previously registered codes will be erased in order, starting from the first registered code.
Rewrite mode is used to erase all the previously registered recognition codes in order to register all-new recognition codes. This mode is used when the transmitter or the door control receiver is replaced with a new one.
Confirmation mode is used to confirm how many recognition codes have already been registered before another recognition code is registered.
Prohibition mode is used to erase all the registered codes and disable the wireless door lock function. This mode is used when the transmitter is lost.

REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE (USING INTELLIGENT TESTER)
1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
2. Select the menu on the intelligent tester.
  HINT:
  
  After the following operations, proceed to the succeeding operations according to the prompts on the tester screen.
  1. Select "SC430".
  2. Select "TDS (Theft Deterrent System)".
  3. Select "WIRELESS REGISTRATION".
  4. Select add or rewrite mode.
    HINT:
    
    The number of registered codes is indicated.
3. Press both lock and unlock switches for 1 to 1.5 seconds. (Procedure A)
4. Press either switch for more than 1 second within 3 seconds.
5. The ECU automatically performs power door LOCK-UNLOCK operations after the switch on the door control transmitter is released, in order to indicate whether registration has been completed correctly or not.

  HINT:
  
  If the LOCK / UNLOCK operation occurs twice, registration of the recognition code has failed. Perform registration procedures from the beginning.
6. This wireless buzzer sounds when the registration is completed normally.
7. Register another transmitter, or finish the registration.
  HINT:
  
  If continuing the registration, go back to Procedure A.
REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE (USING SWITCH OPERATION)
1. The vehicle should be in the following conditions.
  1. Driver door is open (other doors are closed).
  2. No key is inserted in the ignition key cylinder.
2. Insert and remove the key into / from the ignition key cylinder twice (Insert → Remove → Insert → Remove) within 5 seconds.
  HINT:
  
  The procedure should end with the key removed.
3. Complete the following operation within 40 seconds.
  1. Close and open the driver door twice (Close → Open → Close → Open).
    HINT:
    
    The procedure should end with the door opened.
  2. Insert and remove the key into / from the ignition key cylinder (Insert → Remove) within 40 seconds.
    HINT:
    
    The procedure should end with the key removed.
  3. Close and open the driver door twice (Close → Open → Close → Open).
    HINT:
    
    The procedure should end with the door opened.
  4. Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder and close all the doors.
4. Select mode.

  1. Turn the ignition switch from LOCK to ON and back to LOCK at approximately 1 second intervals according to the number of times shown the illustration.
5. Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder within 40 seconds.
6. Whether or not each mode is operating is indicated by the number of times the door lock operates (lock/ unlock) within 3 seconds.

  HINT:
  
  The confirmation mode and the prohibition mode are finished after the response.
7. Press both lock and unlock switches for 1 to 1.5 seconds. (Procedure A)
8. Press either switch for more than 1 second within 40 seconds.
9. Whether or not the registration is completed is indicated by the number of times the door lock operates (lock / unlock operation) within 3 seconds.

10. Register another transmitter or finish the registration.
  HINT:
  
  If continuing the registration, go back to Procedure A within 40 seconds.
11. Perform one of the following operations to finish the add mode and the rewrite mode.
  - Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder.
  - Open any one of the doors.
  - Wait for 40 seconds after the code registration.
  HINT:
  
  When registering 4 codes at a time, the mode will be finished when the 4th code is registered.
