Inspection Procedure

1. Remove the ABS-IG fuse from the driver side junction block.
2. Remove the IGN fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.
3. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ABS-IG fuse	Below 1 Ω
   IGN fuse	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPLACE FUSE 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the S5, S6, S7 and S8 ECU connectors.

2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard voltage 

   VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S6-6 (IG2) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V
   S7-6 (IG1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   S5-16 (GND4) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
   S5-22 (GND3) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
   S8-6 (GND2) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
   S8-31 (GND1) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the A21 sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the C8 meter connector.
3. Disconnect the S6 and S7 ECU connectors.

4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   S6-17 (MPX1) - C8-3 (MPX-)	Below 1 Ω
   S7-3 (MPX2) - A21-13 (MPX1)	Below 1 Ω

   Result 

   RESULT CHART

   Both are OK	A
   One is OK	B
   Both are NG	C

B: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU AND REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

C: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
