Outer Mirror Switch: Inspection
- INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Select L or R on the mirror master switch.
- Measure the resistance of the mirror master switch.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 8 (MSW) - 9 (E) 6(M+) - 7 (E) L 100 Ω 8 (MSW) - 9 (E) 6 (M+) - 7 (E) R Below 1 Ω 8 (MSW) - 9 (E) 6 (M+) - 7 (E) OFF 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance of the mirror control switch.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 7 (M+) - 9 (E) UP Approx. 100 Ω 7 (M+) - 9 (E) RIGHT 250 Ω 7 (M+) - 9 (E) DOWN 470 Ω 7 (M+) - 9 (E) LEFT 800 Ω 7 (M+) - 9 (E) OFF 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance of the retract switch.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 4 - 5 Retract 10 kΩ or higher 4 - 5 Return Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
