Front Seat Assembly: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH 
    1. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the 2 switch knobs.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the cushion shield.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.
    2. Disconnect the lumbar front power seat switch connector. Then remove the adjuster cover.

  5. REMOVE LUMBAR FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and switch.
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See  REMOVAL  )

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the cushion shield.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER BEZEL LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the reclining remote control lever knob.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the lever bezel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Pull the seatback board downward to detach the 2 hooks. Then, remove the seatback board.
  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the hog rings.
    2. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.
    3. Disconnect the reclining remote control lever cable from the seat adjuster.
    4. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
  14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback board.
  15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover (together with the pad) from the seatback spring.
    2. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.

  16. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and control lever.
  17. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts, spacer and adjuster.
  18. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 3 screws and power seat switch.
  19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and inside cover.
  20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and inside cover.
  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings and cushion cover (together with the pad) from the seat cushion spring.
    2. Remove the hog rings and cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.
  22. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connectors.
    2. Remove the 8 screws and 4 power seat motors.
  23. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Remove the 2 clips and sensor.

  24. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and ECU.
