Front Seat Assembly: Reassembly

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.

  2. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Install the sensor with the 2 clips.

  3. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 4 power seat motors with the 8 screws.
    2. Connect the connectors.
  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER NOTICE: 
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the cover.
    • When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover (with pad) to the seat cushion spring with new hog rings.

  5. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Install the inside cover with the 2 screws.
  6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Install the inside cover with the 2 screws.
  7. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.
    2. Connect the connector.
  8. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER 
    1. Install the spacer and adjuster with the 2 bolts.
    2. Connect the connector.
  9. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the control lever with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the cover.
    • When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seatback spring with new hog rings.
  11. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD 
    1. Install the seatback board with the 4 bolts.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Attach the claws to install the 2 headrest supports.
  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the seatback with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the reclining remote control lever cable to the seat adjuster.
    3. Attach the clamps and connect the connectors.
    4. Install the hog rings and fully install the seatback cover.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the seat cushion with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Attach the clamp and connect the connectors.
  16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Push the seatback board upward to attach the 2 hooks. Then, install the seatback board.
    2. Install the 2 screws.

  17. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER BEZEL LH 
    1. Attach the 5 claws to install the lever bezel.

    2. Attach the claws and install the reclining remote control lever knob.
  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH 
    1. Attach the 5 claws to install the cushion shield.
    2. Install the 3 screws.
  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  20. INSTALL LUMBAR FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. Install the switch with the 2 screws.

  21. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH 
    1. Connect the lumbar front power seat switch connector. Then install the adjuster cover.
    2. Install the 4 screws.

  22. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH 
    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the cushion shield.

    2. Install the screw.
  23. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Install the 2 switch knobs.
  24. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the release handle.
